It’s been a long time in the making, finally renaming our beautiful boat Officially!
Goodbye Maramu!
First things first – as you saw in our previous boat logo designing post, we had a good friend (and fellow sailor) who is also a full time designer make some samples to approve, we then worked with his team to determine the final one (easier said than done!).
Afterwards, I printed up a few ‘paper’ mock up sizes on our printer – cut off the margins and taped together (see photos below):
After this, Ali came down with the printed Vinyl and we got working measuring, marking, measuring, marking (twice to be sure) and it was GO time…see photos of the end product below!
Hello Cerulean!
*Once all the stickers were applied we covered them up for the official unveling to Poseidon (God of Sea) and Aeolus (God of Wind) – first we had to follow the “de-naming” protocol, followed by the “re-naming” ceremony – details are below in BlueWater Sailings Instructional Vessel Renaming Ceremony PDF (thank you!)
