How did you get into Sailing?

I’m often asked this question – but honestly, it wasn’t by deliberate action. As a student at USC in Southern California, I had the opportunity to take a “Sailing 101” course as a elective. Already being a Pilot, I figured the navigation would be redudant and worst case – got a free trip to Catalina.
